Your Weekly Style Shopper: Aqua, Blue, Green are different Colors of water so wear them!

Hi dahlings!

Your weekly style shopper is back. And this week I was ecstatic to find a Peplum shirt for $11.90! Yes you read it right and it is also in one of the most in colors of this season Aqua, a color very similar to mint green :). Since its made of stretchy material its bound to fit perfectly. I for one can not wait to get my hands on it. I have so many ideas already concocting in my head of what I am going to wear this with. You can dress a peplum shirt with a contrasting or color blocking bodycon skirt or even a pair of cute shorts. Not feeling like showing alot of legs today? No problem just jump into a pair of skinnies! Trust me the possibilities are endless. And for all the office gals out there this is perfect when worn with a pencil skirt as well so you’d be ready to roll from work to drinks with friends in no time!

The outfit overall reminded me of the beach and the sun because its so blue and has a pop of yellow around the neck thanks to the pretty flowery necklace from forever 21! Imagine while you are stuck at work in this cute outfit atleast you can embody the summer and the beach to cheer you and others around you up :) Not to forget ladies blues and greens of all sorts are two of the BIG colors this season.

Feel free to hit the follow button and I will continue bringing my faves of the week to you for a bargain price! Enjoy!

Pretty in Peach and Black – Pink has been pushed aside!

Yes yes I understand my outfit posts have been MIA for a little while but trust me you will see tons more of them. I have some terrible Good news that I received from my new podiatrist. He says he can fix my feet forever! I can wear whatever shoes I want again only catch is….I have to live in sports shoes/sneakers for a while! I have to wear them all the time and everywhere. When I get up middle of the night to get water or something! I mean that I have been doing anyway but with my clogs. This whole new sneaker thing will require some more adjusting. When I first found my clogs alleviated my pain I wore them everywhere only I was stuck to jeans and pants! I didnt wear any skirts, shorts and dresses for an entire 6 to 7 months. It got quite depressing so I said you know what? I dont care I will wear what I want and own it! I will wear a red hot dress with my black clogs and walk down the road like I am the prettiest girl alive. Honestly it seems to work if you start believing it haha. Overtime I decided I will start a collection of Dansko brand shoes. I bought a pair of boots for winter which costed an arm and a leg. Then a pair of summer sandals But now sneakers? I thought I was progressing but I have come to a screeching halt? But if the outcome is the possibility of wearing heels and all kinds of shoes again I am so down…I will keep you guys posted on how the whole thing progresses that is after I go out and make, yes MAKE myself buy a pair of podiatrist approved sneakers! It will be fun wearing office clothes with those…i am not sure if my power of positive thinking will make my pencil skirt look hot with sneakers but eh how bad could it be?

H&M Summer Sale going on right now!

Hi dahlings!

I finally got a chance to edit and update this video today. I have too much going on currently both at work and personal life! I am seriously wishing there was a way to add more hours to my day! I am going to bed every night thinking! Ah should have finished that today or should have responded to that person’s email or text! It is not helping that the more and more stressed out I get the more rest I need and I am trying my best to keep my sundays free of everything! Just me relaxing by the pool or doing things that I like minus the errands.  Is it working out? Not really but hey atleast I am trying :) Are the rest of you just as stressed and hoping there was a time fairy that will bring in 20 more hours a day in your life?

Yesterday Hubby and I went to the first ever Food truck competition between Baltimore and DC trucks! There will be a post coming soon in regards to that  with pictures and info of some of the trucks I will be following around! I also got the chance to hang out with my lovely sis Debbie later in the evening. Over all it was a fun filled day. Anyway Enjoy the video shares your thoughts, opinions and things you got on sale recently :)

Jalapeno Lime Chicken Alfredo with a hint of Cilantro

So hunnies  I have been a lazy chef lately! But that doesnt mean my creative juices have run dry! Oh how could that even happen to someone like me? I always have something to say, do , show or tell…there might be annoying moments in my life but never a dull moment :)

Anyway the best part about cooking this dish was the aroma!  You could smell it every where in the house but I loved the smell when the onions, jalapenos and garlic were sauteing in the pan! I know most people hate the smell of garlic but I have some strange love for it! Could be cultural cause I remember my mom always dumping ginger and garlic in everything and going aaahh smells so good everyday :) This is a quick and easy recipe for a day when you have no energy and want dinner wrapped up in 30 mins tops! Anyway enjoy and do let me know what you think if you give this recipe a try!

Ingredient List:

1 box Fettuccine

2 Chicken Breasts (cubed)

1 or 2 Jalapeno Peppers (chopped)

1/2 Onion (Chopped)

3 to 4 Garlic cloves (Chopped)

1 cup Parmesan Cheese

1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

1/4 Cup Lime Juice

8 to 10 Cilantro sticks chopped

Salt according to Taste

1/4 Teaspoon Cumin

1 Tablespoon Butter

1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

Cooking Instructions:

1. Cook the Fettuccine as per the directions on the box.

2. Start with sauteing Olive Oil and Butter in a large pan over medium heat.

3. After the butter melts add Jalapenos, Onions and garlic to the pan (prepare to bask in the delicious aroma!)

4. Once the Onion has softened (about 3 minutes) add chicken, salt, cumin. and lime juice.

5. Lower the temperature and Continue cooking till chicken is no longer pink and fully cooked.

6. Add Heavy cream to the pan and continue stirring till the chicken is entirely covered with heavy cream.

7. Add Parmesan cheese and cilantro and continue stirring.

7. I garnished with some baby tomatoes and fresh cilantro leaves. And for some added spicy Sirarcha :)

Outfit Post: Tribal Print H&M Summer Dress..Light as a Feather…lets you float with the wind

Hi Dahlings!

Its been a while since I have gotten infront of a still camera and gotten a chance to snag some Outfit of the day pics but I couldnt pass this one. I had to show you this outfit as soon as I put it on. There is a huge story behind this dress and I am soooo thankful for my hubby dearest hard efforts in making this dress mine. I had seen the dress on H&M website before it hit the stores and I was eager to go try it on and was almost sure that I would end up buying it. Lo and Behold I never saw the dress in person it was all gone :( The last piece was clinging onto the mannequin’s body and some stores would let you give them your name and number for when they take the Dress off. Fortunately I didnt have to go through that process and I got a text from the sweetest husband in the world on Friday saying that a few pieces of the dress are back in store and he decided to buy me one!!!!!!!!! The next couple of hours at work were intense! I couldnt wait to go home and try the dress on….ah….I rushed back home…put the dress on and just lovedddd it! The feel of the dress is sooo perfect for summer light airy and soft! I wore it a family get together on Saturday night and all my aunts loved the dress! Let me know what you think of it! As always this is a summer edition dress at H&M costing only 19.95!

Is there anything that you have been eagerly waiting for and got it unexpectedly? Or is there something you recently purchased that you are over the top excited about, do share! I get really lonely not hearing from you all :)

PS: I have revamped the Fashion District page so its easier for you guys to glide through my outfit posts! Let me know how you like the new set up there!

Mens Fashion: Summer Colored Shoes for every occasion

I was stunned to find out that there is a whole market of colored shoes out for men  for Summer! I mean the markets and the web is always boiling over with  trendy colorful shoes for women but we barely see anything for men other then the basics. As usual I have options for all different occasions, casual, dressy and for those of you who are still not ready to come out all the way in the world of colors yet :)

I love the colorful soles on these Jil Sanders Shoes. Imagine matching your suit shirt the same color as the sole! These are perfect for any occasion where you want to look sophisticated, classy and want to make a fashion statement.

For those of you who want some subtle color or your own fashion secret at the work place these Jil Sanders shoes will be a great buy and ofcourse these are perfect for those of you who are planning to breakout in to the color world and arent fully ready yet. People will only see a hint of color as they catch you walking away from them. It will definitely hold their attention.

Lets get a little casual now. These Armando Cabral loafers are perfect to with shorts, cargo pants or jeans! If you want you could even dress them up a little  by wearing them with some dressy straight leg pants and a casual blazer. Prefect for those nights when the weather gets slightly chilly.

Those of you who like lace ups well there is something out for you as well in casuals. Walk over shoes has their own lace up version of colored sole shoes that would look great with jeans and any casual style pants!

And then I fell upon these modern, unique and versatile loafers by SWIMS ! They are made of water resistant rubber and nylon.  They are slip resistant and lets your feet breath better compared to other regular loafers. And guess whats an added plus? They are machine washable! Can it get any better then this?

Hope you enjoyed this post. Feel free to comment, follow and post suggestions :)

Hi Lovelies,

Last night was ahmazing! I took my dad out for an early fathers day dinner and the city was being prepared for Salibaration today and tomorrow (It is an event celebrating the birth of Star Spangled Banner and we will have Fighter jet shows and tons of International Ships are parked around the harbor so people can tour them). I didn’t realize how much my dad will enjoy such an outing he rarely gets time to go out cause he over works himself and has done all his life (I guess thats where my workoholicness stems from).

Onto the My weekly bargain outfit! I knew I was in love when I saw this pencil skirt for only $9.99!!! So ofcourse it was the starting point of my outfit! It is flowery and they are so in this summer. If you have gone out shopping you know the stores are laden with sea blues and sea greens! So ofcourse I had to play on the blue in the skirt to bring out another current season fave the sea blue top :) And why wouldnt I do some animal print to combine all the trends of the summer 2012 season into one which led me to the cute peacock bangle! Yes people tend to forget that animal prints arent just tiger, leopard and zebra :) Peacocks are part of the clan too! So enjoy this look. I am so in love with the shoes too, they can dressed up or down. Imagine wearing them with some skinny jeans! the bow will stick out and look so cute on top of your skinnies :)

As always feel free to follow and I will keep bringing you my weekly bargain outfit finds! And those of you have been my faithful readers thank you so very much for making me smile every single day!
