Another terrible snowstorm is upon us and as promised I am bringing you another outfit post that will help you keep yourself warm. You can wear it the way I was wearing it because the hat is pretty warm or you can throw a jacket on top to be warmer. Healthwise I am doing alot better and will be doing a very important post soon on what will help your stomach heal faster than anything else, an item whose power alot of people in today’s world under estimate. I talked to several people at work or in my friends circle about the whole concept and everyone was just drawing a blank except maybe one or two people. It was quite shocking that people do not know the concept of alkaline and acidic food when it comes to eating.
Anyway back to the outfit. The hat was a gift this past Christmas from hubby dearest. He knew how much I liked my other all black one he got me and knew that I was eyeing this one on Amazon. I love huskies and wolves and it ultimately reminds me of them. I have no intentions of ever turning into an animal. These hats just appeal to me due to the cuteness and warmth they provide. I love how the paws come attached and you can actually needle them throw the sleeve of your jacket and they turn into mittens/gloves to keep you warm! It is weird to be posting constant snow pictures while our fellow bloggers over in the other warmer parts of the US and the world are posting pictures in shorts already! I can’t wait for spring but for now today is another day for me to pull out my furry things out!
Let me know what you think of the outfit and what are you doing to keep yourself warm in this insane year of winter?

My life and the weather has alot in common these days. Alot happening all at once and I am letting it all sink in. On this particular day It was an unbelievable almost 60 degrees and then there came snowfall again the following day. I am getting a bit out of shape again unfortunately due to spending the entire month of January and February sick which restricted my mobility and ability to exercise. I am big fan of form fitted clothing and on this occasion I put a loose sweater on top of my skater style dress. I actually like how well it turned out. I always thought bulky clothes will weigh me down but I guess alot has changed over the years. I was also tired of the all black and dark garb everyone is sporting these days everywhere and wanted to add some color to my outfit. The layering also kept me super warm granted now us east coast people are used to the bitter cold of states like Colorado and Wisconsin. I am sure those of you who actually live there snickered at my last statement. I mean come on I have been brave enough to bare my legs in 45 degree weather which I used to consider lets wrap myself up in 15 layers of clothing day
Let me know what you think of the outfit.
Faux Leather Jacket: H&M
Necklace: Forever 21
I have been a bit sick lately not in a cold and flu kind of way but I genetically have GERD and it rares its ugly head every few years. The new bout hit me just after new years and I have been put back on meds for it. Anyway we had another snowmathon today well it is going on right now as I am typing this up. Today was also my last day off of work and I am not sure if tomorrow will be a work from home day or they will clear up the school in time for me to actually make it to the office. I did dress up to go play outside in the snow and also thought what better than to show you guys how to dress warm when its snowing insanely and still look cute in furry animal hat. I know alot of people go “I would look so silly in one!” but seriously you can pull it off depending on how you dress it up. I wear mine regularly when its extremely cold and even got a second pair this christmas from my husband which I will be featuring on the blog soon on another what to wear in snowmathon post.
Let me know what you think and feel free to share your furry hat pictures with me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or on my facebook page at facebook.com/chiclycute

I had an intense end to my 2013 to the point that I have bee MIA for about close to 2 months. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think I probably grew more in the last months then the remainder of the year of 2013. I did miss alot of you not just sharing my life as well as keeping up with all of you on your blogs! It’s just working the partime job in retail took over my life more than I expected. Somehow I was informed I am the highest seller and I started getting offered days to work during weekdays! Which is not what I had asked for. And some of you know I have a extreme respect of authority figures to the point where I have a hard time saying No to them….soooooo I caught myself working close to 30 hours at the mall besides my insane job which already makes me work 60 hours a week in Fall. Soooo with that out of the way here is what you have missed in my life and I might have future posts coming with details
1)I was actually recognized at the mall by a follower and a fellow blogger! It was surreal!!!!!!!!!!!! Here I was one minute ordering some food at the food court and then here was this pretty girl talking to me about my blog. Soooooooo I will reveal who that is in a future post this month and need I say collaborative posts to come soon?
2)I have worked really hard on my body and it was a blessing to start 2014 in the best shape I have been in 3 years since the foot injury! Which means with my renewed sense of what works in the health department there will be more health posts coming!!! I can officially tell you now what works and doesnt work
3)I have stood at the mall for 30 hours a week back to back and my feet although got painful I have somehow managed to not cripple myself. I can now officially say I can do this! Yes it hurts and yes I have to ice my feet three times a day but I have been able to stand on my two aching feet and even cook dinner
4) With my body atleast 80% where I need it to be, in 2014 I will be concentrating on working on my mind and personality. Building a stronger back bone and taking the “No Nonsense” attitude against the kindness sucking monsters a step ahead lol. So Look out for tons of motivational posts and support posts.
There is tons more but for now I am going to leave you guys with the pictures of intimate New Years Dinner Hubby and I had on New years day. We had friends over on the eve so it was more of a I am not cooking for so many people event
How did you guys ring in the new year?
Home Made Mini Apple Pie (Recipe will be on the blog this month)
My Super Man!
This week came an amazing surprise – a 70 degree day in November on the east coast! That is something I hadn’t even imagined in my wildest dreams. To make my little self miserable it was my work from home day where I am glued to the computer like the IT nerd that I am. But I decided to dress up and take a few pictures of my outfit on my lunch break and once I was done working I decided to run a few quick errands a little too dressed up for them…but hey I wasn’t going to miss out on this beautiful day. I am oohing and aahing at all the Cali, Miami and Texas bloggers who are living their lives jacket less and wearing cute crop tops and skirts still maybe this was my birthday present from the weather Gods? Why question it when all I had to do was enjoy the day
Crop top: H&M
My birthday was last Monday and all I wanted to do was sit at home in my PJs and chill. I think I am finally at the point where I wanted to be overworked and happy! Yes you read it right…I hate being free. I recall when I was really busy last year, I complained all the time. I whined and whined but being extremely free this past summer made me realize you know what? I actually prefer being tired and knocked out at the end of the day. It helps me retain more energy and do alot more in my day then I can when I more time and less work.
I am a year older and definitely wiser than last year. Actually my birthday week proved to be the week of wisen-ing up(is that a word?). A week of self discovery. I have officially put in my 2 weeks at the second part time job I had started a month ago at the semi High End store. I might talk alittle about what I experienced there and sometimes how bad management can easily loose very good employees constantly. But I realized how my core values and principles need to align with the place I work with. I can not stand behind something I don’t believe in even a little bit. I also learnt how some people can be soooo stuck in their ways and guidelines provided by corporate offices(who ofcourse don’t even deal with public directly) that they won’t even see their own failing store and market. The looks of annoyed and frustrated customers just goes beyond their comprehension. And no matter how useful I proof by not following ALL the guidelines they still don’t realize that a good customer service is not a set of written down rules but ensuring that each customer walks out happy! It is not the path you take to get the customer to that point but the destination is what matters.
Anyway so for my Birthday we just went out for some Dinner at Eggspectation and dessert & coffee at La Madeline. Eggspectation never ceases to amaze me! I have not had anything over there that I haven’t been overjoyed about. And this latest dish on their Fall menu called Chop Steak is to die for! Hubby got Lobster Mac and Cheese which pretty delicious as well and as always I got the butternut Squash Soup. The soup is more like a dessert to me but its very warming in such cold weather. We also brought a slice of Apple Pie cheesecake which I devoured without even taking a picture but it is the best cheesecake I have ever had. The center is actually filled with applie pie filling. Sooo sooo good! I was too tired to take alot of pictures so we only have a few from that day. Enjoy!
They made me push this heavy trunk to get to my Dinner j/k :-p

Jacket/Blazer: Giselle for H&M
Bangle: Birthday Gift from mom (Precious Stone crusted 14kt from MACYS)
Below are the pictures that we caught of Captain America chilling when she was off duty from saving the world. The world was pretty calm and quite on Halloween so she definitely got a moment to relax, pose for the new DSLR hubby bought and well there was a moment when she had to go running to checkout what was going on in the woods, something really shady was up!
I have some new to break here which explains me being MIA. I get bored easily and I don’t like free time on my hand. With hubby being in school full time and working. There were days where I just came home to myself and just felt BLAH! When in College I took 6 to 7 credits and had atleast 2 or 3 part time jobs. I kindda missed the feeling of being tired. I understand most of my family and coworkers thought I am crazy to get a part time job because my actual job gets really busy in Fall and sometimes I work 60 hours or more. But….let me tell you..pushing yourself to the limits only makes you stronger and what? I can always quit the second job if things get overwhelming. But I was seriously missing the human contact in my actual job. Being an IT person sitting at your desk aint no fun. While everyone gets to go visit college fairs and high school fairs. I am left in the office to loose my mind. And I am anything but a loner. I thrive on energy I get from other human beings. I am like a plant that wilts when left alone SOOOOOOOOOOOOO I now officially have a part time job working for a designer brand. Ah hahaha nothing special just a Sales Associate. It has brought energy back in my life. Time has been flying and I have been conversating with people. I am still missing that one on one time I want with the customers to style them like I used to back in the day maybe because in a high end store people sort of want to be left alone. Anyways we will see how it goes in the next few weeks. Christmas is coming and I am sure someone will want my opinion on what to buy their niece or nephew.
Anyways below are the last set of pictures I took before we bought a new camera. A canon T3i. Soooooo excited to find some time and take pictures. Halloween is coming up and I am so ready to take pictures of friends in their outfits. I will put the camera to some good use then.. Oh and the holidays too.
Cuffs: BCBG and B.P

These pics below are pre-sickness outfit pictures. I have been not just overwhelmed with some life decisions to make but also the amount of pictures that turned out really good for this outfit. Hence I just kept postponing the actual post (not to forget the aforementioned sickness tehe) Come to think of it now this outfit would have been perfect for today! It was extremely hot here on the east coast. So weird that it is October and the temperature was in the high 80s. Global warming? Kind of freaks me out.
Anyway…I had been dying to wear a denim shirt and i thought what perfect way to pair it with than a very feminine lace mini skirt. To add a bit of fun I added a neutral colored statement necklace. An extremely bright wristlet and animal print flats. On this particular occasion we went back to one of our fave spots in the city to sit on top of the Federal Hill. Hubby and I always like to go there on a nice day and just talk about our future, about life in general and our goals. Something about being on top of that hill and looking down at the city line clears your head. We also ended up checking out this new Latin Fusion spot called Talara which I review on here pretty soon. The food was yummylicious. We need more of that down where I live because everything else gets so bland and boring.
Hubby was mildly surprised by my outfit choice and looked at me with proud eyes declaring that this has to be one of his fave outfits on me. Ah boys are so easy to please when they are in love with you
And here is a picture of my somewhat matching photographer
Denim Top: H&M (currently in store)
Bracelets: BCBG and Pandora
The fall is coming and stores are currently laden with monochromatic black, white and neutral goodies! Which seems to be working out perfectly for me as I was a big black clothing lover pre blog days. I was very keen to wear a black wedding dress to which my mother’s response was always “It is supposed to be a wedding not a funeral”. And in the end I wore white for my hubby and red (the traditional dress for my culture) for my family.
I have also been frolicking around the world due to my Dad’s job and England was one of my most favorite places in the whole wide world. Hence when we spotted these leggings both Hubby and I knew it belonged in my closet. I have never been a fan of wearing leggings without a longer top but these leggings seem to have the right cut and pattern to help you not feel super conscious having your derriere hanging out.
I am also taking advantage of whats left of somewhat warmish of a weather to get some crop top time in without a blazer or jacket because there is noway we on the east coast are going to be able to rock our crop tops without covering up real good in heavy jackets. Lucky Cali and Florida folks can live it up for me once it gets cold here
I had chosen this outfit for a day trip to the mall and then later lunch with the hubby. I think every girl wants to be a little rough and tough every now and then and it was that kind of a day for me
P.S I am putting in a picture of my beloved camera man in this post too for those of you who have always wondered who the man behind the camera is and what sense of style does he own
